Everything you need to know about our services, pricing, and your rights as a client.
We believe transparency is the foundation of trust. Below you'll find honest answers to the questions we hear most often from families considering Therapy Moms.
No. Therapy Moms is licensed and credentialed to serve moms and families who reside in Florida. We are a 100% virtual practice, meaning we can reach families anywhere across the state.
You will be matched with a counselor based on your individual needs. The counselor's area of expertise is another primary consideration. Logistical factors such as availability, caseload capacity, and gender preference are also taken into consideration
The time will vary depending on your assessed need. On average, clients receive two hours of online counseling per month. Please keep in mind that Therapy Moms is not crisis counseling, and our therapists are not required to be on-call.
We believe quality care should be accessible. Here's a breakdown of our current rates:
Unlike those large online counseling companies, we offer person-centered and individualized care. We know that one size does not fit all! Our counselors will work with you and your budget to ensure you get the best care possible. Unlike other online companies, we do not rely on algorithms to determine your level of care.
No. Studies demonstrate that online therapy is as effective as traditional in-person therapy for the treatment of most common emotional and behavioral health issues — including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, stress, and PTSD.
Absolutely. Client privacy is one of our biggest priorities. We use Therapy Notes, a platform that employs a combination of security measures to encrypt all client-therapist communications and information. Our commitment to privacy, security, and safety ensures full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
No, we do not bill insurance at this time. Our pricing is straightforward with no hidden fees — what you see is what you pay. If you have questions about affordability, please reach out and we'll do our best to work with you.
However, if a client is in crisis, our counselors have access to the client's emergency contact information to fulfill mandatory reporting and duty-to-warn obligations — or to call for help — just as they would in face-to-face practice.
Our team is happy to help. Send us a message and we'll get back to you within 3–5 business days.
